Enlightened Equipment's original and best selling sleeping quilt, but with APEX Synthetic fill!  A popular choice among long distance hikers, the Enlightened Equipment Revelation APEX Quilt 40°F / 5°C offers versatility, careful design, and an ultralight weight. Whether you prefer an open blanket on warmer nights or a cinched footbox on colder nights, this quilt is designed to provide a comfortable night's sleep in a wide range of temperatures and climates. As a quilt and not a sleeping bag, it requires a sleeping pad for insulation between the user and the ground, allowing for a lighter and more compact option in your pack.

Features:

  • 1/4 length zipper & adjustable footbox.
  • Built with no sewn-through seams, to eliminate cold spots.
  • Included pad attachment system uses elastic straps and clips on each side of the quilt to keep it secure on a sleeping pad and lock out drafts on cold nights.
  • Snap and drawcord neck closure lets you fine-tune draft control.
  • Includes Silnylon Stuff Sack (.3oz-.8oz), 100% cotton storage bag, and 2 Elastic Straps (0.4oz each - One Straight, One Loop)
  • Quilt Temperature Rating Guide
  • Consider buying a compression sack or compression dry sack along with your quilt: We recommend a size ‘XS’ if your quilt size is regular / regular and you are an experienced compressor. We recommend a size ‘S’ compression sack for any size over regular / regular, or if you prefer an easier stuffing experience.
  • Handmade in Winona, Minnesota
  • Forest Green colour only (Camo unavailable at this stage)

FOOTBOX

  • Footbox has a 20” zipper and shock cord combination for a totally adjustable closure.

ENLIGHTENED EQUIPMENT

Top-quality ultralight sleeping gear and outdoor apparel made with a passion, that goes where you go.

Founder Tim Marshall started sewing quilts by himself in his basement in 2007. As demand for Enlightened Equipment products grew, so did the business. Today, Enlightened Equipment has more than 50 employees creating quilts, clothing, accessories, and more in a 50,000 square foot building in Winona, MN.

EE Revelation quilt has a near cult following. Long distance backpackers now use quilts more than sleeping bags, and it’s easy to see why. For the weight conscious hiker, it doesn't get much better than this.

The bottom of a sleeping bag, or the part you sleep on, doesn't keep you warm. Hence, while sleeping bags fully encompass the user head-to-toe, sleeping quilts only cover the most necessary parts of the body. Sleeping quilts lack the hood of a sleeping bag, as well as the insulation underneath your body in exchange for a more highly versatile sleeping experience.

Sleeping quilts can be formed as blankets, or closer to full bags, depending on the temperatures and variables the night calls for, while sleeping bags will only wrap around the user fully in the 'mummy bag' fashion.
