Upgraded with super lofty 850+ down, ultra-light 7D and 10D fabrics and a bit more shoulder room, Sea To Summit Ember Quilts are loved by through-hikers, bushwalkers, cycle tourers and anyone looking for unadulterated plush warmth in a tiny compressed size.

When the thermostat climbs, treat your Ember like a traditional quilt and allow your feet and arms freedom to cool you down. When the temperature drops, a draw cord can be cinched tight to create a foot pocket and a strap and press-stud system used to secure your mat to the quilt, keeping heat loss to a minimum.

To reduce weight and keep packed size to the absolute minimum, Sea To Summit used their lightest down proof 10D shell and 7D lining fabrics and upgraded the insulation to our 850+ Loft Premium Goose ULTRA-DRY Down. Not only is this down super warm and compressible, it works to prevent moisture and inclement weather having a negative effect on the loft of the quilt. Available in three models, each in two sizes, Ember quilts are perfect for your next fast and light adventure.

Sea To Summit

Sea to Summit invent gear that enables freedom and self-reliance in an environment.

They take their adventure and gear seriously, but Aussie humour lightens any journey. Approaching life with directness, candour and integrity, doing what they know is right to build products and relationships that last.

As a young outdoor enthusiast, Roland Tyson (founder of Sea To Summit) had a passion and a talent for creating cutting-edge outdoor equipment for his own adventurers, and soon for other Australian adventurers. By 1991, after outfitting an unusual first ascent of Mt. Everest (a 1126+ kilometre, 8848 metres in elevation trek from sea level to a solo summit), Sea to Summit was born.

Sea to Summit are surfers, hikers, bikers, paddlers, sailors—lovers of outdoor spaces and are inspired by the freedom those spaces provide. Stewardship of the natural environment is as important to them as the creation of new products, and they purposefully make gear that lasts and can be easily repaired.

Sea to Summit invent gear that enables freedom and self-reliance in any environment—and believe it is imperative that same environment be around for future generations of adventurers to enjoy. The meaningful steps they are making towards improving their environmental and social impact, and the commitment to being transparent about their progress is the only way to guarantee they do their part in making that happen.

In 2022, Sea to Summit successfully transitioned from an owner-modelled business to a solid private equity backed business. The certified B-Corporation and Australian investment firm, Five V Capital, signed an agreement with Sea to Summit to become the majority shareholder. This marks an important milestone in Sea to Summit’s history as the brand becomes a global player in the outdoor industry, continuing to grow and expand.
